Winner of the Mayor of Newcastle's Access Award 2009.  Although there is a huge tendancy to try and hog all the glory, Burdus give full credit to a project team remarkably relaxed and open minded about pushing accessibility to the limit in a buidling that originally had horrendous access.  Well done to Mark Dobson, Jimmy Floyd and Tim Fyles!

Trafalgar Square and the lifts are still out of order (2 years now?). Took the stairs - crazy idea, they'll never catch on. Rang Julie Fleck at GLA - she is on it!

Tripped to Bouygues Contruction HQ, an architecturally stunning complex in 30 hectares at Saint Quentin, Paris, to present the Tunnel 2K International DVD edited by the Percy Hedley Foundation and the potential for a Bouygues 'Inclusive Design Legacy'.  We - Trevor Jackson, Stephane Tertrais [above], Tamsin Greulich and myself called into the 'Gallopin' restaurant in Paris (recommened by Stephane's mother in law) where Stephane proceeded to demonstrate in no uncertain terms his appreciation and respect for fine cuisine.  I have never seen a man eat such a huge platter of sea food in my life!   I had French opnion soup followed by 'canard' - formidable!

Go to Calvert Trust Kielder website 2009 November 6th

Went with Callum, my Grandson, to check out the Calvert Trust; it is an outdoor adventure oasis in the heart of Northumberland.  Had a great time trying out archery; we are now both totally addicted. Callum wants to drag me back to go on the 'zip wire!'
